SPY Levels & Game Plan

Friday, April 10, 2026

9:32 am Eastern  - Levels are above and in the screenshot below. Keep refreshing page until 9:45 am as I work on the Game Plan.

There's not much to say, actually. If/when today closes above the 50-period MA on the weekly chart, all timeframes are once again bullish. And that seems to be what is happening. The DJT lead the way, the IWM followed and the SPY is looking good now. We've got some data releases today, but it's hard to kill a bull. There is still a chance for some swings, but the bulls have so far established good closes above important overhead resistance areas. The levels for today are designed for Base Hits. There is a small zone between 694.98 and 685.10. Either price will have a tough time getting though, or the bullish sentiment increases and they bust through. That's what happened yesterday with the zone we had on the board then. Usually zones are areas where one or more levels are in the same area and that usually represents increased support or resistance.

The other thing to consider is the timing aspect of what price has been doing. There's been enough rally that a reset isn't out of the question. The bulls can grind higher, but once interim targets are reached, there could be some profit taking at important levels and that could cause a pull back. Just play for Base Hits and let them pile up over time. Trade well today.

After the closing bell...

Trading by the Ticks & Trades Strategy, here is where you would have landed for the day:

One level was hit today and price messed around with it during most of the trading session. That level was 679.89. However, playing by the rules meant no long trade when price came down and hit the level at 11:54 am. That was because of the Near Miss at 10:02 am. Then, once price got under the level, there was no Recycle Trade triggered because price came back up into the level from under it too soon. We like to see 20 minutes or more before attempting a Recycle Trade. The level was important, but no official trades today. Holding at 52% rate of return for 2026 so far.

Per the rules, a total of 0 ES points for the day.
